Tuolumne Sesquicentennial Video

1854-2004

The Tuolumne Sesquicentennial Video is an overview of Summersville, Carters and Tuolumne's rich history and includes the beginnings with the Native Me-Wuk, gold mining, ranching and farming.

You will certainly enjoy and appreciate this historical video. It documents the West Side Lumber Company mill and woods operations, schools, churches, and includes excerpts from several oral histories. Featured are Joy Hembree, Ross Baker, Inslee Rude, Joe Speaker, and Delores Wyhlidko, all members of Tuolumne pioneer families.

The video was produced and narrated by Tuolumne Videographer Rod Garside, the Tuolumne City Memorial Museum Education Committee, and hosted by Mr. Sandy Grover. The Tuolumne Sesquicentennial video includes actual footage of Tuolumne as well as numerous rare photographs of Summersville and Carters.

Copies of the Tuolumne Sesquicentennial Video on VHS video or DVD are now available for purchase at $20.00 (includes tax) from the Tuolumne City Memorial Museum.
